The City of South Perth created two giant canopies in the shape of a frilled neck lizard and numbat to welcome visitors up Mends Street to Perth Zoo and greater South Perth.

Architects specified custom heavy duty spikes along the ridge of the animals’ back to preserve the integrity of the structures. SGL4, SGL2 and SS11 spikes were redesigned and manufactured with a heavier gauge spikes for this project.
